This morning I said I could not find where tonight's Alexandra ward police meeting was being held. It was published all along, and I had it in my inbox. Since it is tonight, you should have it now rather than tomorrow.

Residents sitting down with the neighbourhood policing team to set the local policing priorities — car crime, burglary, fly-tipping, street drinking on Tolworth Broadway, anti-social behaviour. No experience needed and nothing to prepare; you just turn up. If you cannot get there, the team runs a Local Matters survey you can fill in instead.

One practical note: these meetings go out through Met Engage, the Metropolitan Police alert system, and essentially nowhere else — not the council's events page, not the ward page. If you live in Alexandra ward and want to know when the next one is, registering there is the only reliable way to hear about it.

Back tomorrow with new places to eat.
