Evening, Surbiton. This is the first issue. Two minutes on what's happening around town this weekend and the week ahead. You asked for local gigs, so they're in here.
Kingston Regatta is on the river this weekend
The regatta has run at Kingston since 1857, and it's back on the river this weekend, 8am to 7pm at Canbury Gardens. Around 320 races a day between Raven's Ait and Kingston Bridge. Sunday is the final day. It's free to watch from the riverside, and a good summer morning out.

A new mural lands on Victoria Road
Artist Nick Blaney has painted a big new mural on the side of The Elm Tree, celebrating Surbiton's railway heritage. The pub, the Surbiton Art Trail and the Town Centre Partnership unveiled it with tacos and live music. Worth a look next time you're on Victoria Road.
